Washington County Agricultural Fair Named Best Seasonal Attraction
The Washington County Agricultural Fair was honored to receive the Best Seasonal Attraction award at the 2025 Observer-Reporter Best of the Best Awards. Fair Treasurer Joe McCloskey attended the event to accept the award on behalf of the Fair.
This recognition highlights the strong community support behind the Fair, which draws more than 60,000 visitors each August to the Washington County Fairgrounds. Guests come for a full week of Fair traditions, from livestock shows and 4-H exhibits, to demolition derbies, rodeos, and a wide variety of food and entertainment.
The Fair has been a part of local life since 1798, making it the oldest agricultural fair in Pennsylvania. For over two centuries, it has served as a place for families, farmers, students, and neighbors to gather, compete, learn, and celebrate.
The Washington County Agricultural Fair Board thanks everyone who voted and continues to support the event each year.
Looking ahead, the 2026 Fair will take place August 15–22. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Fairgrounds next summer!
